The poem highlights the devastating effects of con- ict in Sudan and aims to raise awareness about the plight of refugees. The challenge was to create a visually impactful video and accompany- ing photography that would effectively convey the poem's message. EXECUTION: Creative Direction: - We provided comprehensive creative direction to ensure that the visual representation aligned with the emotional and thematic ele- ments of the poem. Our team worked closely with Emi Mahmoud to understand the nuances of the poem and translate them into compel- ling visuals. Set Design:- We designed sets that visually represented the themes of the poem, in- cluding the devastation of conict and the resilience of those affected. The sets were carefully crafted to evoke strong emotional responses, using elements that symbolized the destruction and hope described in the poem. Filming the Poem - The poem was filmed in a manner that complemented its powerful words. We used creative cinematography techniques, including close-ups and dynamic camera movements, to capture Emi Mah moud's performance and the emotional depth of her words. The light ing and set design were integrated to enhance the impact of the visu als. OUTCOME: The "Sudan Baladi" project successfully conveyed the powerful message of Emi Mahmoud's poem, raising awareness about the ongoing conict in Sudan and its impact on innocent civilians. The visually impactful video and photography resonated with audiences, enhancing the reach and effectiveness of the poem's message.
